Unlike the standard Marine Park tours, the Eros Cave trip enters and traverses the entire Keri Cave system — not just the first arch. The small boat size is what makes the full passage possible. The caves narrow progressively as you move deeper, with the water shifting from turquoise to deep blue as light filters through the rock. Larger vessels cannot navigate beyond the first arch.
A slow cruise past the twin conical limestone sea stacks — the most photographed natural feature on the south coast. The small group size allows the captain to anchor close to the rocks and spend time in the water if conditions allow, rather than the brief drive-past that large boat tours manage.
A sheltered natural pool formed between the cliff and a submerged rock shelf — known locally as the “swimming pools” of the Keri coast. Flat, calm, and consistently clear water in a location that larger boats cannot access. One of the most unusual and peaceful swimming spots on the south coast.
The innermost chamber of the Keri Cave system — accessible only by small boat at the right tidal conditions. The cave opens into a private inner lagoon with dramatic light effects as sun angles through gaps in the rock overhead. Swimming inside the cave is the centrepiece of this tour and the primary reason for the group size limit. No other Marine Park tour reaches this point.
Eros Cave is physically only accessible to small boats. The cave entrance is narrow, the inner chamber requires careful navigation at low speed, and the swimming area inside cannot safely accommodate large groups. The 10-person limit is not a marketing choice — it is a physical requirement of the location.
This also means a fundamentally different experience from the standard Marine Park tours. No crowds, no waiting at swimming stops, no rushed schedule. The captain adjusts the pace of the tour to the group. What takes a larger tour 20 minutes takes this boat as long as it needs.
The price reflects the semi-private format (maximum 10 people), a longer cave route requiring slower, more careful navigation, and access to locations that larger boats cannot reach. The cost per person is higher precisely because fewer people share the boat.
The full passage depends on sea conditions and swell. On most days it is achievable — the small boat size is the primary enabler. If swell prevents the full passage on the day, the captain will adapt the route and spend additional time at other stops.
Yes — swimming inside the cave’s inner chamber is the final stop and the highlight of the tour. The group size limit of 10 ensures the cave is not overcrowded and swimming is possible for everyone.
