My name is Ross Lagopodis. I was born and raised in Zakynthos, and I've spent over 10 years working in the island's tourism industry. Ioneon Travel is now in its second season — and it started because I believed visitors to Zakynthos deserved better than what was on offer.
The company is based here, on the island. We have our own office directly opposite Zakynthos Airport in Kalamaki. When you contact us, you're speaking to someone who is physically on Zakynthos — not a booking agent sitting in Athens, London, or Dublin.
Every tour we offer, I've done. Every route, every stop, every operator we work with — I've vetted them personally. If I wouldn't put my own family on it, it's not on our website.
Zakynthos has a lot of tourism operators. What it doesn't always have is transparency. I spent years watching visitors book tours that looked great in photos but were poorly run in reality — overloaded boats, guides who didn't speak the language, prices that ballooned at the last minute.
Ioneon Travel was built around one principle: tell people exactly what they're getting, charge them a fair price, and deliver it. No overselling. No hidden extras. No "optional" upgrades once you're already on the boat.
We keep the product range small so that everything we offer is something we can genuinely stand behind. Every enquiry gets a real, direct response — usually from me.
